We rode splash mountain, the Indiana jones one, a pirates of the carribean one, a few more in disneyland proper, some of the 4D stuff in adventureland (but not California screamin', lol, since I was a bit queasy after the tower of terror did a number on me..) and others I can't recall but will remember when I look at the map again :). I think the area of the rim I visited was definitely part of the "main" set of viewpoints...it's the trail that takes you westward from the parking lots, etc. I could have gone east but that would have been more driving rather than simple walking to find good shots, and yeah.
