A Quick Thought
Jun/090
This is a very quick, fleeting thought that I’ll build on in a later post.
For now, let me note that while Microsoft has renamed Windows Live Search to Bing Search, the rest of the Windows Live brand remains largely intact. And don’t forget that MSN is still…MSN.
I’m not saying a company can’t have multiple brands. Merely that the existence of these different brands lends itself to some analysis.
More later.
More Sunset, Night Lights Shots
Apr/090
Continuing the current theme of my photography, a few shots of the “sunset” (well, the clouds pretty much blocked the sun out entirely, since it was threatening to rain) and some nighttime shots on a street.
New Sunset Photos
Mar/090
Just finished uploading some shots of the sunset that I captured this evening. I’ve taken photos from this location before, but at a slightly different spot. And, this time, I was able to catch the sunset a little earlier than before. Also, I had that wonderful tree to compose my shots around, which helped tremendously. I’m still in the process of working through some of the shots, so I’ll be uploading a few more later.
Another Status Update
Mar/090
Finally, I think I’ve settled on a theme that I can be happy with for quite some time to come. I was always miffed about the previous look, mostly because it didn’t look right across browsers and operating systems—yes, this was mostly because I had chosen to modify the CSS to use Lucida, and yet, somehow, I couldn’t bring myself to choose a font like Verdana, since it simply didn’t fit with the look and the theme.
In any case, I’ve found a new look that places a lot less emphasis on color and randomness, and is even more focused on the content. It’s called “Elegant Box”, and, I must say, it is quite elegant.
The Prodigy’s “Invaders Must Die”
Mar/090

I recently discovered that the Prodigy, an awesome electronica band, has just released a new album in late February, entitled Invaders Must Die. And, after a few days of listening, I have to say that this album is definitely worth more than a few listens. As per the usual, the tracks contain relatively few lyrics, and a lot of hard-hitting beats that are sure to have you turning down that bass, until you finally get used to how jarring and in-your-face the tunes are. My favorites are the title song, “Invaders Must Die”, “Omen”, and “Thunder”.
